Paul Mullin was in inspired form on Saturday afternoon as he took just 35 minutes to complete his hat-trick and put the game beyond Accrington. Elliot Lee also got on the scoresheet to put the hosts four up before heading into the interval.
This was Wrexham's first home match since announcing that their temporary Kop stand at STōK Cae Ras would be renamed the Fourth Wall, after McElhenney's whiskey brand. Excited by the result, the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' star went on to draw a parallel between the new name and Saturday's scoreline in a hilarious observation after the match.

In a video shared via Wrexham's official account, McEhenney said: "We did win today 4-0. And I just want to say that this was the first time that we unveiled the Fourth Wall, which is the temporary stand. So four goals, fourth wall – coincidence? I think not, I think not! A long way to go in the season but it is looking good."
